This is a unique map of Napa Valley wine production areas, showing each sub region in vivid color on a vintage style map of this part of California.
I drew this by hand in the style of late 19th and early 20th century cartography, which highlights the relief and features of the landscape. I used pen and ink with watercolor for the individual AVA areas. I included the delimited AVAs and the main areas of production within. Google maps and satellite photographs were very useful for this! All the text is filled in by hand to give a charming vintage style map of one of Californias' finest wine producing areas.
