Cannabis edibles can produce extremely potent and long-lasting experiences, and may have a delayed onset of multiple hours before the full intensity of effects can be felt. For these reasons, it is important to know what dose range you are personally comfortable with before consuming cannabis edibles, or to start with the lowest dose possible if you are unsure. Overall cannabis tolerance, including tolerance gained from consuming other cannabis products, is a significant factor to consider as well, since your personal tolerance will influence how strongly a given dose will affect you.

Recommended 1st Time Dose:

Beginners should consume an amount of cannabis edibles that contains no more than 10 total milligrams of psychoactive cannabinoids. Depending on which product you plan to consume, this may involve separating a small piece of your edible product from the whole to achieve a dose of no more than 10 total milligrams of cannabinoids.

As mentioned previously, cannabis edibles may have a delayed onset. Many consumers begin experiencing effects as soon as 30-60 minutes after dosing, but many other consumers do not feel effects for up to 2-4 hours after dosing. For this reason, do not re-dose with additional product until at least 4 hours have elapsed since your initial dose.
