A very pretty feminine dress, circa late 1930s into early 1940s when Gone With The Wind was a major cultural phenomenon. The bodice is princess seamed with a downward pointing basque waistline. The bust are is tightly ruched in the center, and the sweetheart neckline is edged in a narrow ruffle. Uncuffed sleeves are puffed at the shoulder and ruched from shoulder to hem for extra oomph. The skirt has three tiers for that ballgown look - a long crinoline underneath would increase the drama.
SIZE: No size label, but I would estimate medium.
| Measurements | Inches | Cm |
| Shoulders | 15" | 38 |
| Bust | 40" | 101.5 |
| Waist | 28" | 71 |
| Bodice length from mid-shoulder | 16.5" | 42 |
| Skirt length from same location on waist | 39" | 99 |
| Hips | Free | |
| Sweep | 104" | 264 |
FABRIC/COLORS: A soft shade of rose pink taffeta that gives out that delicious rustling sound with movement.
TAGS: No tags except for a dry cleaners tag.
CLOSURES: Side seam metal zipper
CONDITION: I found three small water marks on the left side of the front skirt - see closeup. They are subtle, given the skirt gathers. If you want them gone, I recommend dry cleaning - wet cleaning on this kind of fabric is too risky IMO. I also see a few grayish marks near the hemline - see closeup photo for worst area I found. No other issues noted - no holes or tears or odors.
