Tasting Note

Fresh fruit, Morello cherry and a smidge of pork lard with a lovely spicy note coming from the Uva Rara grape. Good acidity, lighter notes of cherry stone on the palate with delicious mature fruit and hints of beef jerky with peppery hints. Soft, firm tannin and a lovely savoury note on the finish.

In 1980, Guido and Christina Sertorio bought some run down vineyards around Boca in Piedmont, and undertook the long process of restoring these vineyards. Now in the hands of their daughter, Anna, she has converted the vineyards to be certified organic, and not only tends the vines but also manages the extensive local woodlands as well.
